Activated alumina for Fluoride and Arsenic Removal

Fluoride has certain effects on health. When long-term drinking of water containing too much fluoride, excessive fluoride intake can lead to chronic fluorosis, dental fluorosis, skeletal fluorosis, etc. Drinking water is the main way to absorb fluoride. Therefore, the sanitary standards for drinking water stipulate that the fluoride content in drinking water shall not exceed 1.0 mg/L.

Activated alumina used for fluoride removal is a white ball adsorbent with a large surface area. Activated alumina has good fluoride removal effect and good performance. 1 gram of activated alumina can absorb 2.5-3mg of fluoride. Commonly used sizes are 2-3mm, 3-5mm, and 4-6mm.

The adsorption effect is related to the fluorine concentration of the raw water, pH value, particle size, quantity, time and other factors.
