The King of Lifespan for Active Activated Alumina
Advantages: Maximum mechanical strength, resistance to liquid water, and the highest ability to withstand water and heat shock. These three aspects are the strongest. It rarely powderizes; the regeneration temperature is low (180–240℃), and the aging at high temperatures is slow.
Silica-Alumina Gel
Advantages: The W-type water-resistant model can withstand free water and has better strength than ordinary silica gel; it can withstand high temperatures up to 350℃ for regeneration.

Quick selection
1.If the working conditions involve condensation water and you want the longest service life → Activated alumina is the best
2.For natural gas associated with C5 + light hydrocarbons, it is necessary to simultaneously recover light hydrocarbons → Silica-alumina gel, with a replacement cycle of 2-3 years
3.For ethylene gas drying, precise screening (3A) is required; the front must have an alumina waterproof protective layer, and the expected service life is about 3 years
Simple indicators for judging the decline in service life (when to replace)
1. The outlet dew point continues to deteriorate, and the regeneration parameters are adjusted but still cannot meet the standards.
2. The bed pressure difference significantly increases (adsorbent powdering, caking)
3. Sampling test: The static adsorption capacity decays by more than 30%, and it is directly recommended to replace.
