In the aluminum shell battery encapsulation process, 4A molecular sieve are filled into sealing gaskets to continuously absorb trace internal moisture. Tests show that batteries with 4A sieve stored at 85°C/85% RH for 500 hours exhibit only a 3% increase in internal resistance, compared to a 12% increase in batteries without sieve.
5.Deep Electrolyte Drying
5A molecular sieve, with a pore size of approximately 5Å, can adsorb residual water and trace organic solvents in electrolytes. During electrolyte refinement, 5A adsorption towers reduce water content to below 10 ppm and remove solvent impurities such as NMP, ensuring electrolyte purity exceeds 99.9%.
