As ethanol is increasingly used as a clean energy source, its production requires highly efficient dehydration processes. Here's a customer case where CHEMXIN's 3A molecular sieve was used for an ethanol distillation column project.
Project Overview
The customer purchased 60 m³ of 3A molecular sieve and 4 m³ of ceramic balls for ethanol dehydration. Our technical team provided full on-site support to ensure proper installation and smooth project execution.
Loading Process
Before loading: Inspected the distillation column's internal cleanliness and support structure to prevent leakage.
During loading:
Laid a base layer of 13 mm ceramic balls to support and distribute airflow.
Added a transition layer of 6 mm ceramic balls for surface leveling.
Carefully loaded 60 m³ of 3A molecular sieve using multi-point filling and impact compaction to control bulk density (650–680 kg/m³).
Topped with 6 mm and 13 mm ceramic balls as protective layers to stabilize and extend molecular sieve life.
After loading:
Following the installation and equipment inspection, we conducted on-site sampling and testing. The molecular sieve demonstrated excellent water adsorption performance, with a water adsorption capacity greater than 21%. The customer was highly satisfied with the results.
