XC3001 is an alkali metal aluminosilicate with a pore diameter of 3 Å. It is the potassium form of the Type A crystal structure. It possesses an exceptionally large specific surface area and is primarily used for water adsorption, while it does not adsorb molecules with a diameter larger than 3 Å.

Chemxin XC3001 features uniform adsorption channels, offering high static water adsorption capacity, fast adsorption kinetics, high crushing strength, and low attrition loss. It resists pulverization even during prolonged operation. With excellent thermal stability, it can be repeatedly regenerated at high temperatures, ensuring a longer service life.

Typical Application

a) Mainly used for the deep drying of unsaturated hydrocarbons in petroleum cracking gases, such as ethylene, propylene, and butadiene.

b) Drying of organic solvents such as methanol and ethanol.

c) Drying of air.

d) Drying of natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).



Regeneration:
Chemxin molecular sieve Type 3A can be regenerated by either heating in the case of thermal swing processes; or by lowering the pressure in the case of pressure swing processes.
To remove moisture from a 3A molecular sieve, a temperature of 200-230°C is required. A properly regenerated molecular sieve can give moisture dew points below -100°C.
The outlet concentrations on a pressure swing process will depend on the gas present, and on the conditions of the process.
Size:
3A - Zeolite are available in beads of 1-2 mm(10x18 mesh), 2-3 mm(8x12 mesh), 2.5-5 mm(4x8 mesh) and as powder, and in pellet 1.6mm, 3.2mm.
Attention:
To avoid damp and pre-adsorption of organic before running, or must to be reactivated.
